My Instagram account was hacked. The email and phone number were changed so I cannot use forgot password. The hacker is messaging my followers. How do I get it back?

Act immediately. Step 1: Check email for a message from security@mail.instagram.com about the email change. Click Revert This Change if available. Step 2: On the login screen tap Forgot Password, then Need More Help. Enter original email or phone. Step 3: If the hacker changed everything, use Instagram identity verification. On login screen tap Get Help Logging In, enter username, tap Need More Help. Instagram will ask for a video selfie to verify identity against photos in your account. Step 4: Report the account as hacked from a friend account or help.instagram.com. Have friends report too because multiple reports escalate the case. Step 5: After recovery, immediately enable two-factor authentication, change password, revoke third-party app access in Settings, and secure your email account since that is likely how the hacker got in originally.
