How We Verify Our Experts

Every expert submits their professional license, certification, or degree for verification. We confirm the validity of each credential directly with the issuing authority. Licensed plumbers, certified electricians, ASE mechanics, CPAs, and attorneys must all provide verifiable license numbers. For professionals in fields without formal licensing such as IT or career coaching, we verify industry certifications like CompTIA A+, SHRM-CP, or equivalent credentials along with documented professional experience.

Beyond credentials, we review each expert's professional history including years of active practice, areas of specialization, employment history, and any disciplinary actions on record. Experts must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in their field. We verify this through employment records, professional references, and publicly available licensing board records. Any expert with a history of license revocation, malpractice claims, or professional sanctions is automatically disqualified.

Verification does not stop at onboarding. Every expert consultation is monitored through user satisfaction ratings, response accuracy reviews, and periodic credential re-verification. Experts must maintain a satisfaction rating above 90% to remain active on the platform. Consultations that receive low ratings are reviewed by our quality team, and experts who consistently underperform receive additional training or are removed from the platform. We also periodically re-verify licenses and certifications to ensure they remain active and in good standing.

After every consultation, users rate their experience and provide feedback. These ratings are visible on each expert's public profile page along with the number of consultations they have completed. This transparency creates accountability. Experts know their reputation is public, which incentivizes consistently high-quality advice. If an expert's satisfaction rating drops below our 90% threshold, they are placed on a performance improvement plan and their profile is flagged for review.

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted with 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption. The same standard used by banks and financial institutions.

All stored data including chat messages, personal information, and payment details is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption in our Supabase-hosted database.

We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents can request access to, deletion of, and opt-out of the sale of their personal data.

We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act for all Canadian users accessing our services.

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store credit card numbers on our servers.
